01 Introduction
Backend and systems engineer, working mostly out of sight
I build theparts that run unattended
Pipelines, mostly. Crawlers, queues and schemas that have to keep being right when nobody is watching them run and the source has quietly changed shape overnight. I write the parts I would otherwise have to debug at two in the morning, which is why there are nine dependencies in this site and no framework underneath the thing drawing my face in the corner.

02 How I work
- 01
Build it by hand
Reach for a dependency when it earns its place, not by reflex. Fewer moving parts means fewer things that rot while you are not looking.
- 02
Measure, don't guess
A number from a profiler beats an opinion about performance. If a claim cannot be checked, it does not go in the README.
- 03
Motion with a reason
Animation should explain a change of state. Anything that only decorates is a tax the visitor pays on every load.
- 04
Fast on a real phone
Not fast on a desktop with a cold cache and a fast connection. Fast on a mid-range Android on a bad network.
- 05
Legible in six months
Code gets read far more than it gets written, usually by whoever forgot it. Clarity now is cheaper than archaeology later.
03 Toolkit

A toolkit chosenfor the job
None of this is a badge collection. These are the tools I reach for often enough to know their sharp edges — where they save a week, and where they quietly cost one.

What ties them together is the same habit: pick the smallest thing that solves the problem, understand it properly, and be ready to explain the choice to whoever inherits it. Most of my work is a long collaboration rather than a launch and a handshake, so the code has to survive being read by someone who was not in the room.
